Ultrasonic sensors use ultrasonic waves for non-contact and wear-free detection of a large variety of objects.  It does not matter whether the object is transparent or opaque, metallic or non-metallic, or of liquid, solid or powdery substance.  Environmental conditions such as spray, dust or rain hardly affect their function

 

TURCK wear-free FLOW sensor reliably monitor the flow of Gaseous and liquid media. The sensor works on the heat transport/heat loss principle.

There are insertion and in-line sensors available which can also be used in explosive hazardous areas according to ATEX 100a.

 

Pressure sensors works with a piezzo-resistive ceramic measuring cell and is divied into 4 families based on different housing styles, display features and outputs.

Temperature sensors are used where temperatures for control and optimization of processes must be detected and monitored. They combine high accuracy and excellent performance with simple and safe mounting and operation.

They are flexible to use and easy to program

 

Non-invasive Ultrasonic sensors detect liquids through metal wall of a container or tank. For this, they generate a high frequency ultrasonic pulses whose echo is detected and evaluated by the sensor and compares the actual echo with the taught curves representing the empty and filled status of the container and sets the output accordingly.

 

RFID identification system is where the Data are exchange by electromagnetic waves. The system operates wear-free and non-contact and is insensitive to temperature fluctuations (Hi-temp data carriers), dirt as well as water and oils. The Turck identification system can be individually matched to every application due to the wide range of available housing styles and interfaces.

The TURCK interface product portfolio comprises a large variety of devices for isolation, conversion, processing and conditioning of analogue signals. The housing designs comply with industrial standards:

  • series interface module (IM) in modular housings

  • series multimodul (MK) in modular housings

  • series multisafe® (MS) in modular housings series multicart® (MC) on 19’’ card.

 

The new “interface module cartridge“ (IMC) TURCK offers interface modules with M12 connectors for the distributed area in IP67 design. Thus, the explosion hazard isolation level is shifted away from the control cabinet directly into the installation and contributes increasingly to the decentralisation of the installation structure.

The on-site use is enabled by the 3 GD approval, i.e. the application in explosion hazadous areas (zone 2) with combustible dusts or gasses.

The new solution provides a maximum of flexibility with a version ideally suited to the application.

 

Temperature dependent resistance signals are output as linear temperature current signals with the intrinsically safe temperature transducers.

The temperature transducers are mounting in terminal housings, type B.

TURCK also provides temperature transducers for connection to the FOUNDATION FIELDBUS and PROFIBUS PA.

excom® is a remote I/O system for the use in explosion hazardous areas (zone 1). It comprises bus-compatible remote input and output modules with IP20 for the connection of binary and analogue intrinsically safe field devices. The specific Ex approval of the system permits use in zones 1 and 2. The field circuits are approved for zone 0. The system consists of power supplies, gateways, I/O modules. The backplane is integrated in the module rack. The power supply modules ensure the supply of the entire systems (with MT18 up to 2 power supplies, redundant operation).

 

The universally applicable terminal bus system BL20 it is possible to plan and implement tailor-made solutions for I/O IP20 applications. There are gateways available for the connection to PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet™, CANopen and Ethernet. They provide diagnostic information which can be evaluated via fieldbus or the software I/O ASSISTANT. The electronic modules are applicable, independently from the fieldbus and are connected individually to the right of the gateway. The base modules are designed for fast and reliable connection to the field devices via screw or tension spring connections.

The electronic modules are applicable, independently from the fieldbus and are connected individually to the right of the gateway. The base modules are designed for fast and reliable connection to the field devices in M8, M12 or M23 technology.

 

With their miniature housing dimensions, piconet® fieldbus modules fulfill the highest industrial requirements. Ideally suited for special or serial machine engineering, the fully encapsulated IP67 modules can be mounted directly at the machine or installation without any further protective measures. Whether as stand-alone or coupling module in combination with inexpensive extension modules: piconet® allows individual and compact configuration of the system performance.

 

Both modular fieldbus nodes for the use in switchgear cabinets or directly in the field, as well as compact stations in IP20 or IP67 are features of the TURCK fieldbus range.

Turck offers tailor-made connectors for application in the harsh process periphery. The connector programme comprises male and female connectors, male and female flange connectors, field-wireable male and female connectors, extension cables, 8 and 4-port junctions, Y-junctions and block junctions in M12 x 1, M8 x 1, Ř 8mm, 1/2‘‘, 7/8‘‘, M16 x 0.75, M23 x 1 technology. Connectors with premoulded cables come in standard lengths of 2, 5 and 10 m. The extension cables come in standard lengths of 1, 1.5, 2 and 5 m. Special lengths and cable materials are available on request Field-wireable connector types complement the range, so that the customer can continue to use existing cabling concepts. There is a female connector for every pluggable TURCK sensor.
